AMC Admission through NUMS Cadet (NC)

All Students who register for NUMS MDCAT Entry Test and listed on NUMS merit list (secure their admission on merit seats) are called NUMS Cadets. Other students who got minimum 60% marks can get admission on self based (also known as private admission).

NUMS stands for National University of Medical Sciences. For NUMS Cadet admission, candidates must take the NUMS MDCAT Entry Test. This test is offered once a year, between August and September. Both male and female candidates can attempt the NUMS MDCAT Entry Test. After taking the NUMS MDCAT Entry Test, candidates can get admission in NUMS on merit base or self.

Candidates who join the Medical College through this entry test are called NUMS Cadets. Both male and female candidates can apply to be NUMS Cadets. After completing their MBBS, the cadets are free to practice to improve their skills and serve their nation.

Army Medical College Admission through Medical Cadet (MC)

Army Medical College Admission through Medical Cadets a candidate have to follow these process.

  1. Register for Medical Cadet Course at www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk and clear all the tests of Pakistan Army
  2. Enrolled for National MDCAT Entry Test and pass this test with maximum marks.

Note:- Final selection will be on the basis of Overall progress in Medical cadet Course Test process + National MDCAT Score.

Benefits:- Selected Candidate through Medical Cadet Course will have not pay any fee or other dues during study periods of MBBS or BDS. They also paid monthly salary (75000 plus) during study period and after completing the degree they join Pakistan Army as Captain Doctor.

AMC Admission Through Paying Cadet (PC)

Students who pay half fee for their studies at the Armed Medical College admission are called Paying Cadets. To get admission as a Paying Cadet, you must come from an Army background. Only children of Army personnel, regardless of rank, are eligible. Paying Cadets must pay the full fee, but half of it is refundable. After completing their degree, they are required to serve the nation for at least three years.

Paying Cadets have a better chance of securing seats for MBBS or BDS compared to others due to their Army background. To apply, you need to take the entrance tests for NUMS MDCAT and get Paying Cadet Form from GHQ.

How to get application Form?

To get the application form, visit any station headquarters in your city using the OAS system at your father’s unit. If your father is unsure about the process, he can check with the office clerk for information. Fill out the form for Paying Cadets and attach the following documents:

  • Matriculation mark sheet (SSC)
  • FSc mark sheets for Part-1 and Part-2, or equivalent if you have done A-levels
